This dataset accompanies the study “Mapping informativeness of pulse excitation for scalable battery capacity diagnosis through diffusion-scaled electrochemical perturbations”.
The study investigates how the diagnostic informativeness of pulse excitation depends on pulse current intensity, pulse duration, and charge status for battery capacity diagnosis. We use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells with three nominal capacities, 20 Ah, 35 Ah, and 68 Ah, and systematically evaluate single-pulse and combinational-pulse excitation protocols. The dataset supports the mapping of capacity diagnosis error landscapes across the pulse-excitation design space and the analysis of a diffusion-scaled electrochemical perturbation descriptor based on constant-flux diffusion scaling.
This Zenodo record provides the large raw experimental data used in the study. The processed feature tables, representative model-output examples, main-figure source data, and all associated code are provided in the GitHub repository linked below.
Data structure:
- 01_RawData_LFP Raw pulse-excitation Excel files for 20 Ah, 35 Ah, and 68 Ah LFP cells. These files contain the original experimental records used as the basis for downstream preprocessing, feature extraction, model-input construction, model experiments, and figure generation.
The raw data are intended to support reproducibility of the full data-processing workflow. Starting from these raw files, users can regenerate the intermediate processed data and final model-input feature tables using the preprocessing code provided in the associated GitHub repository.
